World Accreditation Day
World Accreditation Day is an anniversary by the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) and IAF (International Accreditation Forum)designated to promote the importance of the International Accreditation System.
Since 2008 when World Accreditation Day was first designated, 72 countries around the world have held various commemorative events to ease trade technology barriers and spread the Accreditation system.
- • ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) is an international accreditation organization that includes the APAC (Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation), which oversees laboratory-related areas.
- • IAF is an International Accreditation Forum that oversees all areas of system, product, personal, test, etc.
- • Accreditation means granting accreditation to certification standards or the ability of a certification body to audit.
- • Certification means the Public institution is demonstrated that any document or act is composed of due procedure.

[ World Accreditation Day 2021 ]
The 2021 World Accreditation Day topic focuses on the use of accreditation to support the implementation of the UN SDG and provides opportunities for ILAF and IAF members to share with stakeholders, regulators and client examples of how to apply accreditation to meet objectives such as trade growth, solve environmental, health and safety issues and improve the quality of economy-wide product.
The agenda of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is presenting a blueprint for a better world and encompasses 17 key elements of the SDG that bring economic, social and environmental dimensions together, people, prosperity and planets.
This goal for strengthening prosperity, eradicating poverty and protecting the planet is recognized as essential for a sustainable world worldwide and requires consensus, collaboration and innovation from local and national governments, businesses, industries and individuals for implement it.
